Daniel and Mommy

Today, November 19 is my mommy's birthday.
How I wish I can kiss her and sing her Happy Birthday song. But I still unable to do that. I'm not yet reach those milestones. Not so soon. I know I am mommy's greatest gift. No other luxury gifts in this world can compete me. :P

Mommy, I'll behave and will try my best to achieve more milestones in coming months...

3rd Pneumococal Jab Surprise

Last Saturday, Daniel went for his 3rd Pneumococal jab. We arrived at the clinic on time but still had to wait for another 20 minutes. While waiting for our turn, the nurse measured Daniel's height and weight. Hmmmm...some increments....height - 75cm and weight - 9.5kg. According to his pedia, everything is normal, he growth up very well even though his size a bit larger than normal babies. Like father like son. His daddy is under big size category so is the son. ;)

When I went to pay the bill at the counter, I was surprised as the nurse gave me a blanket - a gift from Wyeth to Daniel.

The material is very soft and there is a message attached together with the blacket.

"Dear Mummy and Daddy,

Congratulations! You have completed your baby's 3rd dose of vaccination against 7 Streptococcus pneumoniae.

The rest of the message explained about Streptococcus pneumoniae and Pneumococoal disease.

You have taken the first step in protecting your baby from Pneumococcal Disease.

Don't forget to come back for your baby's final dose of Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (7-valent) when they reach 1 year old."

Hohoho....Another free gift inside Daniel's X'mas bag.

Laughing Happily

This is a back dated post (It suppose to be updated on October).

One night, I accidentally hiccuped in front of Daniel. I didn't realize that it will made him laughed so happily. It's not easy to make Daniel smiles or laughs unless he found your acts are entertaining.

When visiting cousins and relatives, he always shows his "Bulldog" face. Yes, "Bulldog" face. Me and hubby understand why he reacts that way, because he is not used with the surrounding environments and those strange faces.

I always use "hiccups" as my secret weapon if I want to take nice pictures of him.

This clip was taken when he was 5 months old.Enjoy it!

Proximidade Award

I received this wonderful award from Esmeralda. It is a lovely award. I like butterflies very much.

This reward is in Portuguese so the translation is below.

“This blog invests and believes, in proximity” [meaning, that blogging makes us 'close' -being close through proxy] How awesome is that??

Here is the statement I am supposed to post...

"They all are charmed with the blogs, where in the majority of its aims are to show the marvels and to do friendship; there are persons who are not interested when we give them a prize and then they help to cut these bows; do we want that they are cut or that they propagate? Then let’s try to give more attention to them! So with this prize we must deliver it to 8 bloggers that in turn must make the same thing and put this text."

The 8 bloggers are:

Nicole, Yugene, Sha, Mery, Jofanna, Vivi, Jennifer, George

Superior Scribbler Award

Another award from Esmeralda! Thank you so much!
I remembered I'd joined the inter-class scribble contest, oh man it was really hard. I didn't win the contest.

So the rules are:

Every Superior Scribbler will name 5 other Super Scribblers.
If you are named you must link to the author & the name of the blog that gave you the award.
Then you must display the adorable award and link to This Post, which explains The Award.
Finally you must visit this post and tell your name to Mr. Linky List.

Then they will have a record of all the people who are Super Scribblers!

So now I'm passing this award to:

1. Joanne Tiew

2. Kristie

3. Doreen

4. Vivi

5. George

2 Years of Wedding Bliss

November 11, 2008 will be our 2nd Wedding Anniversary.

How time flies so fast. I remembered last year we celebrated our first at Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort, KK. Since we had the complimentary vouchers from the STAR, we pampered ourselves with one night stay at Kinabalu Seaview Room and had a BBQ dinner at Coco Joe’s.

Kinabalu Seaview Room

Coco Joe’s

This year we will celebrate together at our own comfort home with little bundle of joy. Nothing fancy, just a simple and nice dinner. Of course we’d love to watch movie together if little Daniel can sleeps early than usual(That’s impossible!)

I would not expect any bouquets of flowers or gifts from hubby (As I told him not to pamper me with any of those). At least I am saving money in that sense. I prefer we can spend our moment together and just enjoying our life together.

To my dear hubby, I appreciate what you have done for us each day. You are my most treasured one. You are always there when I need a shoulder to cry on. Without you my life is nothing. We have been through a lot for years and I want you to know that I love you more each day.

Happy Anniversary! Muaks*** Muaks***!

First Solid Foods

At his third jab for Triple Antigen+Hib+Polio+Hep B, Daniel’s pedia Dr. Terry Huang gave us the “OK” to start solid foods and recommended Nestle Infant Rice Cereal to start with. Since Daniel had been showing signs of being interested in our foods, both me and hubby were really excited to introduce him his first solid foods. I mixed up ½ tablespoon of cereal with 1 oz of formula milk.

I was quite surprised as Daniel didn’t reject it at all. (Maybe because I used to feed him water using spoon) His reactions after tasted the cereal? Just normal, no funny look at all..He just swallowed the cereal…

Messy or not?

Mommy, I had enough!

Daniel managed to finish 1/2 of the prepared cereal. Well done son! And I'm very enjoyed feeding him :)

The Pink Sisterhood

I am very happy to receive my 1st ever tag from my lovely blogger friend Esmeralda. Thank you so much for the tag.

This one is all about breast cancer, which everyone knows is one of the most life-threatening diseases today. I’m doing my part in spreading awareness on breast cancer by sharing some scary yet so very true facts on breast cancer. Lets do our parts in spreading this awareness. Ladies, do take note!

  • One in eight women or 12.6% of all women will get breast cancer in her lifetime.
  • Breast cancer risk increases with age and every woman is at risk.
  • Every 13 minutes a woman dies of breast cancer.
  • Seventy-seven percent of women with breast cancer are over 50.
  • Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in women between the ages of 15 and 54, and the second cause of cancer death in women 55 to 74.
  • Risks for breast cancer include a family history, atypical hyperplasia, early menstruation (before age 12), late menopause (after age 55), current use or use in the last ten years of oral contraceptives, and daily consumption of alcohol.
  • Early detection of breast cancer, through monthly breast self-exam and particularly yearly mammography after age 40, offers the best chance for survival.
    (Facts taken from Women’s Health)
